José Antonio Primo de Rivera: Anthology of Speeches and Quotes is a book of political speeches, statements, and quotes delivered by the founder of the Falange Española, one of the key people responsible for the formation of Spanish Fascism and National Syndicalism during the Second Spanish Republic.
José Antonio Primo de Rivera was a Spanish lawyer, politician, and political theorist, who created Falange Española in 1933. The ideology of this man combined Spanish nationalism, authoritarianism, and National Syndicalism; all of which contributed to the development of Falangist ideology. After being executed in November 1936, just after the start of the Spanish Civil War, José Antonio became a symbol of the Spanish nationalist movement and later on was commemorated during the period of Francisco Franco's rule.
This book, originally published in Madrid in 1950 by Ediciones Prensa del Movimiento, contains an English translation of a number of speeches and quotes by José Antonio. Republished by Antelope Hill Publishing, the book gives access to historical documents concerning the political views and rhetoric of the founder of Falange.
The anthology will be useful for those, who are interested in José Antonio Primo de Rivera, Spanish Falange, National Syndicalism, Francisco Franco, and history of Spanish Civil War.
A valuable historical source when studying Falangism and political views of José Antonio Primo de Rivera.
